Our Comprehensive Plan survey is now live! The Seattle City Council is getting ready to take final votes on the Comprehensive Plan and legislation to comply with House Bill 1110 (the “middle housing” bill), and Councilmember Strauss wants your feedback.
Background on the Comp Plan
The Comprehensive Plan is the city’s 20-year roadmap for how our city grows and updating it is one of the most important ways we can ensure we build more housing.
As part of that process, Councilmember Strauss has proposed amendments that would build more housing, better combat climate change, protect our tree canopy, and create new opportunities for small businesses. Councilmember Straus is also proposing adjustments to neighborhood centers in District 6.
Take our District 6 Neighborhood Center Survey
For each proposed neighborhood center, Councilmember Strauss is putting forward three options, along side the Office of Planning and Community Development’s proposal for feedback. Councilmember Strauss’ refinements were developed after intensive engagement with community members. Ultimately only one amendment for each neighborhood center will move forward to committee in September.
Which ones do you prefer? Help Councilmember Strauss decide which version to submit for a final Council vote.
The deadline to submit your feedback is Sept. 2. This deadline is to give the District 6 office enough time to review your feedback and incorporate it into their final amendments.
