Today Councilmember Maritza Rivera (District 4) released the following statement after the passage of the Families, Education, Preschool and Promise (FEPP) Levy renewal package out of its Select Committee.
“This vote today was a win for Seattle’s kids. The FEPP levy will fund critical investments in childcare and preschool, K-12 academic supports, and the Seattle Promise – including expanded pathways to the skilled trades,” said Councilmember Rivera. “I am proud of the hard work that went into this renewal package. And I am very grateful for the collaboration with the Mayor’s office, the Department of Education and Early Learning, community stakeholders, and my Council colleagues. I look forward to the final vote on June 17.”
