The first Federal Administration and Policy Changes committee meeting focuses on individual civil rights and labor protections
Seattle City Councilmember Alexis Mercedes Rinck (Position 8) is officially announcing the first meeting of the Select Committee on Federal Administration and Policy Changes which will hold a roundtable for community partners and government departments working in the topic areas of individual civil rights and labor rights.
“The impacts rippling throughout our City aren’t just policy changes on paper—they’re already hitting our kitchen tables, job sites, and clinic waiting rooms across Seattle. Whether you’re a federal employee, a family relying on affordable housing program, a small business owner navigating regulations, or a healthcare worker keeping people healthy—the foundations of our community are under unprecedented pressure.” said Councilmember Rinck.

Seattle, WA 98104 - WHAT: The first Select Committee on Federal Administration and Policy Changes will feature two roundtables, one centering LGBTQ and Reproductive Rights and the second focusing on Immigrant Rights and Labor Protections.
The first roundtable centering on LGBTQ and Reproductive Rights Issues and will feature community organizations including Queer Power Alliance, Planned Parenthood Alliance Advocates, and Pro-Choice Washington. The second roundtable will include organizations such as Northwest Immigrant Rights Project, Fair Work Center, and the Seattle Office of Labor Standards.
