Federal Police Monitor to brief Council on new use of force policies
Seattle – Councilmember Bruce Harrell, chair of the Council’s Public Safety, Civil Rights and Technology Committee, will host Merrick Bobb and members of the Seattle Police Monitoring Team at committee this Wednesday. The Seattle Police Monitor will provide an update on the proposed use of force policies and other issues related to compliance with the Memorandum of Agreement with the Department of Justice.
Co-Chairs of the Community Police Commission will also brief Council on their policy recommendations and the work it is doing in the area of community engagement.
