The following is a summation of Council actions at today’s 2 p.m. Full Council meeting

FULL COUNCIL

1. Council Bill 117722  PASSED (9 – 0)

Relating to the City’s traffic code; amending subsections 11.50.560 and 11.58.005 of the Seattle Municipal Code to correct numbering errors.

2. Resolution 31432  ADOPTED (9– 0)

Of the City Council of the City of Seattle approving and ratifying the decision of the Metropolitan King County Council to adopt a revised set of Countywide Planning Policies

LIBRARIES, UTILITIES, AND CENTER COMMITTEE:

3. Council Bill 117703   PASSED (9 – 0)

Declaring approximately 7.4 acres of City-owned real property located north of South 231st Way in the City of Kent, Washington as no longer required for municipal utility purposes and surplus to the City’s needs; authorizing the Director of Seattle Public Utilities to enter into a Memorandum of Agreement with the City of Kent to jointly market these parcels with adjacent parcels owned by the City of Kent through an open competitive process, and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.

4. Council Bill 117712   PASSED (9 – 0)

Relating to Seattle Public Utilities; approving changes to the Consent Decree previously authorized by Ordinance 123908 and authorizing the Director of Seattle Public Utilities to submit the amended Consent Decree to the U.S. District Court and to fulfill the obligations set forth therein; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.

Relating to Seattle Public Utilities; authorizing the Director of Seattle Public Utilities to execute a wheeling agreement with Shoreline Water District, and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.

Relating to the NE 45th Street Viaduct project; authorizing the Director of Seattle Public Utilities to acquire, accept, and record, on behalf of the City of Seattle, a permanent sewer easement from the University of Washington for a combined sewer main; placing said easement under the jurisdiction of Seattle Public Utilities; declaring a separate sanitary sewer easement in the vicinity to be surplus to the City of Seattle’s needs; and authorizing relinquishment of the surplus easement.

Relating to Seattle Public Utilities; describing the goals of Seattle Public Utilities’ 2015-2020 Strategic Business Plan and establishing a Customer Review Panel to provide input to the Plan.

Relating to the construction of a new Fire Station 20; transferring jurisdiction of a portion of Lots 9, 10, 11 and 12, Block 29, Gilman’s Addition to the City of Seattle from the Department of Finance and Administrative Services to the Seattle Department of Transportation and designating the property for street purposes; and laying off, opening, widening, extending, and establishing the transferred property as street right of way.
