Today the Council received a presentation from the Mayor’s staff in the Government Performance and Finance Committee on their interpretation of Initiative 91 as it relates to the SODO Arena proposal. Initiative 91 was approved by 74% of Seattle voters in 2006, and requires a “fair value” return on the use of public resources for professional sports.
