Ethnic Heritage Gallery Artist Talk

Home » Ethnic Heritage Gallery Artist Talk

This Thursday, February 2nd, 2012, the City’s Ethnic Heritage Art Gallery will host an opening reception from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for their new exhibition ”Souls of Sweetness”.  The exhibit was curated by Danie Allinice and presents artwork by artist Robert Horton. The exhibit will run through April 15th in the 3rd Floor Gallery of Seattle’s Municipal Tower at 700 Fifth Avenue, Seattle, WA 98104.

I encourage you to stop by the reception at 5:15 p.m. in order to hear artist Robert Horton discuss the exhibit and his work. I enjoy artists’ talks because afterward, their work usually holds greater meaning for me.

The Ethnic Heritage Art Gallery was established by a coalition of City of Seattle employees to showcase emerging and established artists of color from four ethnic and cultural communities. I appreciate that their efforts help advance the City’s Race and Social Justice Initiative (RSJI).
