Seattle City Council to introduce legislation to protect Puget Sound
 Ban on plastic bags modeled after Bellingham ordinance

On Monday, November 21, Seattle City Council will introduce Council Bill 117345 to help clean up Puget Sound and protect marine wildlife by banning single-use plastic bags from grocers and retailers. Seattle’s legislation is largely modeled on the Bellingham ordinance passed in July 2011.
