Seattle City Council President applauds voter approval of Referendum 1
City Council will move forward on agreements between Seattle
and Washington State Department of Transportation

Seattle – City Council President Richard Conlin released the following statement commending the approval of Referendum 1:

“After years of studying, analyzing and listening to the public, we are moving forward in providing a safe and viable corridor with the least disruption possible for businesses, commuters and residents.

“The City Council is committed to protecting the City’s best interests, undertaking the next critical steps in contracting with the State to advance the bored tunnel program. The Council wants to thank our stakeholders, neighbors, regional partners, and City of Seattle staff for their continued efforts moving this project forward.”
