The Parks and Green Spaces Levy allocates $800,000 for planning, design and construction for the renovation of the play area at Volunteer Park. Planning has begun and in house design is beginning for the renovation. The public process begins next week, and all are welcome to attend the upcoming meetings. More details can be found here.

Maple Leaf Reservoir Park is also in the design stage for an area known as the Family Terrace, and it offers a traditional play area similar to what’s there now, an adventure play area, and a children’s garden.

You’re invited to attend the public meetings and share ideas on your favorite types of play equipment and what your design ideas are for ‘adventure play’ and a ‘children’s garden.’ Find more details on the project here.
