Civil in Seattle: Downtown District Council’s Public Safety Forum

Home » Civil in Seattle: Downtown District Council’s Public Safety Forum

Wednesday night this week I had the opportunity to speak on a panel to a group of downtown residents and other community members about Public Safety and our efforts around making Downtown Seattle a clean, safe, and welcoming place to be. I joined our new police Chief O’Toole and City Attorney Pete Holmes.p1

This forum was hosted by the Downtown District Council and was held at the Labor Temple in Belltown. Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen, including Laine Ross and the Downtown District Council.

I pulled together a sheet of resources identifying existing laws on Seattle’s books relating to safety and civility. This is designed to serve as a resource referencing the laws we have on the books now, and contact information so we can work together to address downtown disturbances.
