If you are looking for an excuse to get away from work and get under the sun to enjoy some good music in downtown Seattle, check this out.
The Office of Arts & Culture is sponsoring a free weekly concert every Thursday at The Seattle City Hall Plaza as a part of the free city-wide concert series, Out to Lunch! They’ve already hosted Stranger Genius Award nominated jazz group Industrial Revelation, local Eritrean group Selam Band, and Latin salsa group Picoso. Dancing erupted.
The remaining City Hall concert schedule is as follows:
July 31-Vaudeville Etiquette (Rock-Indie Folk);
August 7- Space Theory Presents the Deep Connection (R&B, Soul, Jazz, Sci-Fi);
August 14- The Horde and the Harem (Indie Rock, Folk Pop);
August 21- Rivers, Lakes & Oceans: Lunch at the Cabin (Ancient, Future Sounds);
August 28- The Dip (Soul, Funk);
Out to Lunch will host events every Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from July through September 5 in various Seattle locations. For a list of all these concerts, visit the Out to Lunch website.
