On Monday the Council will receive an update about planning for transit on the waterfront, and for redesigning Alaskan Way after the Alaskan Way Viaduct is removed and the seawall is repaired.
The transit update includes looking at restoring the waterfront streetcar, putting in a modern streetcar, and options for mini-bus and regular bus.
Recent documents released include a Local Waterfront Transit Report that evaluates these options, and a summary sheet that measures each option by several criteria. The streetcar options would be more expensive.
In addition, a Seattle Waterfront Historic Streetcar Technical Evaluation was released in late June.
