Community meeting to discuss Mount Baker Neighborhood Rezone announced

SeattleCouncilmember Mike O’Brien will host a Public Hearing on the proposed rezone in the Mount Baker/North Rainier neighborhood. The Planning, Land Use and Sustainability (PLUS) Committee is considering legislation to rezone the area around the Mt. Baker Light Rail Station to encourage future development that brings new business to the area, creates a more pedestrian friendly environment and encourages use of light rail.

Each member of the public will have up to 2 minutes to address the committee, and public comment sign-up sheets will be available at 5:30 p.m. The Planning, Land Use and Sustainability Committee could vote on the proposal as soon as Tuesday, May 20.
