If you had the opportunity to save a life, would you do it?

The opportunity is today. And it could take as little as two minutes. We need your help!

The Great West is steeped in recruiting enrollees for CPS-3.  Whether it is an enrollment at a Relay site, in a mid-size community or a larger venue, recruiting enrollees and confirming their commitment is vital to the Cancer Prevention Study-3 results.

 What is CPS-3?

The purpose of CPS-3 is to better understand the lifestyle, behavioral, environmental and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer and to ultimately eliminate cancer as a major health problem for this and future generations.   CPS-3 is a grassroots effort across the country through which you can advance cancer research by participating actively in a historic research study.

 Who is eligible to enroll?

The Society’s Epidemiology Research Program is inviting men and women between the ages of 30 and 65 years who have no personal history of cancer to join a historic research study, Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3). The ultimate goal is to enroll at least 300,000 adults from various racial/ethnic backgrounds from across the U.S.

What will enrollees be expected to do?

The onsite enrollment will take approximately 20-30 minutes and will involve:

1)    Completing a short survey packet

2)    Signing a consent form

3)    Providing a waist circumference measurement

4)    Providing a small blood sample (similar to a doctor’s visit).    CP2

What can YOU do to make an impact?

1)    Enroll in a recruitment venue near you. (See list below) and click on the url to make your appointment.

2)    Recruit family and friends to enroll. Exercise your social media muscle by posting on your Facebook page, sending an email or a tweet about CPS-3.  Your goal is to increase CPS-3 buzz and confirm enrollees. Attach a video; drive  them to the local cps3 url.

3)    Ask your family and friends to help you recruit others to enroll.  If you and 2 others were to recruit 10 enrollees, you will have made a HUGE impact as Community Champions!

 Tools you can use.

Feel free to use or attach the social media messages and videos below.  The more people know about CPS-3, its impact on the future of cancer and the benefit to our future generation, the more likely they will want to sign up!
