    Seattle Solar Home Tour is 10/6

    On Saturday, October 6, homes all across Washington will be participating in the National Solar Tour of the American Solar Energy Society.

    Some more info on the day from Solar Washington’s website:

    This year they expect 160,000 participants will visit some 5,500 buildings in 3,200 communities across the U.S. This annual tour is the world’s largest grassroots solar event. it offers you the opportunity tour innovative green homes and buildings to see how you can use solar energy, energy efficiency, and other sustainable technologies to reduce monthly utility bills and help tackle climate change.

    Check out the innovative solar homes that are part of the tour in your neighborhood by browsing through the list of 2012 Tour homes. There will be an event to kick off the day from 10:00-1200 at the Greenwood Library (8016 Greenwood Ave N) with an introductory talk on the ins and outs of solar in Western Washington.
