More Information for Renters

Home » More Information for Renters

A couple weeks ago I let you know about a new website, HousingSearchNW.org to help renters find housing.  This week, the news is about a new site to help renters who have questions about their housing rights.

Good information can be one of the first and most critical steps to resolve problems that may eventually – if left unchecked – threaten housing stability.

At this new site, launched just yesterday, renters can get answers to common questions about issues ranging from repairs, deposits and evictions.  Here’s the place to go:  www.tenantsunion.org.

The content on the site was developed with the help of Solid Ground.  Though the information is not to be considered legal advice, the attorneys at the Legal Action Center have reviewed it all for accuracy.

Started by volunteers in 1977, the Tenants Union has a long history assisting tens of thousands of low-income tenants in solving housing problems through education, organizing and advocacy.
