COMMITTEE ON THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT:

1. Council Bill 117379 PASSED (7 – 2, Harrell and Godden Opposed)

Relating to land use and zoning, establishing a new Station Area Overlay District, amending general locational criteria for single family zones, expanding an existing pedestrian zoning designation, amending Seattle Municipal Code sections 23.34.010, 23.47A.005, and 23.47A.009, and amending the Official Land Use Map, Chapter 23.32, at pages 43 and 60 to rezone areas within the Roosevelt Residential Urban Village.       

 2. Resolution 31347 ADOPTED (9 – 0)

Declaring the City of Seattle’s intent to promote and enhance the livability of the Roosevelt Residential Urban Village by implementing initiatives that complement changes to land use regulations.          

 

TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE:

3. Council Bill 117384 PASSED (9 – 0)

Relating to a pedestrian skybridge over and across East Cherry Street, near vacated 11th Avenue, amending Ordinance 120393, as amended by Ordinance 121855, updating the insurance and bond requirements, and amending the annual fee and other terms and conditions of the permit; renewing the term of the permit to Seattle University; providing for the acceptance of the permit and conditions; and ratifying and confirming certain prior acts.       

4. Council Bill 117388 PASSED (9 – 0)

Granting King County Department of Natural Resources and Parks, Wastewater Treatment Division permission to expand, maintain, and operate the pump station located in the Southwest Barton Street shoreline street end, west of Fauntleroy Way Southwest for an unlimited term; specifying the conditions under which this permit is granted; and providing for the acceptance of the permit and conditions.          

5. Council Bill 117389 PASSED (9 – 0)

Relating to Federal/State Transportation Demand Management Program, authorizing execution of an Agreement between the Washington State Department of Transportation and the City of Seattle, authorizing the City of Seattle to indemnify the Washington State Department of Transportation, and ratifying and confirming prior acts.

 

ENERGY AND ENVIRONMENT COMMITTEE:

6. Resolution 31352 ADOPTED (9 – 0)

Relating to the City Light Department; acknowledging and approving City Light’s adoption of a biennial energy conservation target for 2012-2013 and a ten-year conservation potential associated with Initiative 937.

9. Resolution 31357 ADOPTED (9 – 0)

Setting the public hearing on the petition of the Department of Parks and Recreation for the vacation of a portion of Westlake Avenue between Pine Street and Fourth Avenue in the downtown area of Seattle; pursuant to Chapter 35.79 Revised Code of Washington (RCW) and Seattle Municipal Code (SMC) 15.62 (Clerk File 311670).
